More than 19 000 watch Foo Fighter´s concert live on Facebook

October 30th was the day in which Foo Fighter decided to stream a concert live from their audio studio. Just after U2 stream concert, FF tried it too. And what a gig! More than 19 000 people worldwide connected just to watch them.

So funny to see how they interact, what they say about each other during the concert. I won´t forget how much whisky Dave Grohls drinks…I was like this O.O…..His stories about his mucus hanging is unforgettable, and funny xD. And also publicity was there, Dave recommended his favorite drink (I promise I will try it xD).

Definitely social media are changing everything. Now, you just need to connect to your Facebook and you can, literally, talk to your favorite band or singer. We only lack to touch them.

The best part was when they answer to their fans comments. I hope that more bands consider to do this kinds of concerts which allows them to be more in contact to their public.

Also, they announced their newest album “Greates Hits” which will be released on November 3rd.

Here is the setlist of the concert:  The Pretender / My Hero / Times like This / All my Life /Cold day in the Sun / Skin and Bones / word foward / Generator / Young man blues (the who) / Learn to Fly / For all the Cows / Hello Johnny Park / Monkey Wrench / Big Me / Up in Arms / Long road to Ruin / Enough Space / New way home / Stacked Actors / Breakout / Watershed / Everlong / Low / Aurora

Social media is the future…for everyone.

31/10/09 ~ Video killed the radio star

~ 31 Ocotber 2009 ~

Video killed the radio star.

~ ~ ~

So I blame Jon Bon Jovi and the sausages for the homesickness I suffer from these days.

It started like two weeks ago when I went down to the supermaket. They run out of mince and I wasn’t able (and didn’t want to be able) to afford a family package of beef or lamb and all of a sudden I had an urgent craving for sausages. Scalded sausages, Wiener, Frankfurter, Thuringian bratwurste – any kind of sausage.

So I bought a packet of ten sausages, put them in the freezer and was happy that every time I’d feel like sausages, I would be able to eat some. The fact that the package was labelled “beef flavoured” should have been a warning to me. Unless relating to a milkshake, the term “flavoured” should always ring a bell. “A banana-flavoured milkshake”. That sounds good. Normal. But “sausages, beef-flavoured” – that sounds as if you wanted to say “toilet detergent lemon flavoured”. Artificial.

The problem was: there I was happy about having beef-flavoured sausages – but then all of a sudden all I wanted was GERMAN sausages. While still having my dinner, all I could think of were scalded sausages and Nuremburger. The thought of them got stuck in the back of my mind and stayed there. The thought of them shadowed me on every step I took.

But I became reconciled with it. That’s just the way it is. One cannot have everything. I ignored my inner voice when it whispered: “You could just leap onto your Vespa, drive down to the butchery ‘Jäger’ and buy sausages, if you were at home. But instead, you’re here, without the Vespa and without sausages. But you asked for it!” and it almost went well – if Tuesday night two weeks ago had not come. That Tuesday night was the night my dear brother forgot that he wanted to telephone me via Skype.

And the inner voice gave me a shout again: If you were in Lauffen, you could simply storm into his kitchen and give him a real bawling-out!”

And then – as if this wasn’t bad enough already – I got a Bon Jovi Newsletter that made everything worse.

Let me explain. The last few times when Bon Jovi released a CD, this had always happened in summer or autumn and the following tour started in Australia and New Zealand next January and they susequently arrived in Germany in June or July.

A little while ago, the new album has been announced to come out in early November and thus I would be lucky and Bon Jovi would tour New Zealand while I am still here (the last two times before I always missed them just). Then I’d be back in Germany and would be able to see them there in June. Perfect.

Perfect until that wonderful newsletter arrived. Because that told me that the Bon Jovi tour starts in America. And the next newsletter told me that there will be a concert on November 9, 2009, in Germany in celebration of the fall of the Berlin Wall. And that they are planning a “secret gig” in London.

According to that, the world tour would start much later, but that does not matter, because Europe already gets a few concerts in advance – and as if that’s not enough, they have now decided to extend the whole thing and add some more concerts in London to their to-do-list. Great. Oh, and by the way, the CD will be in your stores TODAY, while I still have to wait a couple of days longer (and even then can’t be sure if the stores actually have it and want to sell it). “Ich sitze hier und schneide Speck und wer mich lieb hat, holt mich weg” [German rhyme from a game, translated: "I am sitting here, cutting bacon, until the one who loves me comes and gets me!"]

And as soon as I go online, all the social media networks hold a mirror up to me: newsletter in my email-inbox, twitter-messages, facebook- and myspace-notification andnext to rub it in will probably be the Google reader or something.

This is the reason why I blame Bon Jovi and sausages for my homesickness: everything I would like to have I cannot, because it happens to be in Germany.

I also tried to cure the homesickness a little bit. Last weekend I went to the farmers market and paid a visit to the stall with “True Bavarian Sausages”. I expected them to sell “Weißwürste”, Bavarian veal sausages, becasue those are the only sausages I would actually relate to Bavaria, but instead, they sold Frankfurter and Wiener hotdogs. They should have written on their sign: “sausages, bavarian-flavoured”, I reckon, because:

a) as far as I am concerned, neither Frankfurt nor Vienna lies in Bavaria

b) the Frankfurter I ordered turned out to be close to a scalded sausage, but for sure it was not a Frankfurter

c) in fact, the “Frankfurter” may as well have been from NewWorld or Pak’n'Save and I bet it used to be labelled “… flavoured” originally.

But – at least it ALMOST tasted like a scalded sausage and I was happy and satisfied.

And glad not to be from Bavaria, because when the vendor found out I came from Germany, he started holding forth about arrogant and ignorant Bavarians and how they think they were superior to other Germans and stuff. That was amusing indeed and I had a really nice conversation with that person.

On Monday, we started with “video reporting” at school. Radio is over, now we do video. Video killed the radio star. A TV-cameraman let us in the secrets of filming. Now we have one more week to shoot a four-minute news-story for NewsWire. That’s all pretty exciting, but the technical aspect can sometimes really drive you nuts. We had our interview all done, completely shot, everything super – but then, in the cutting room, we experienced a rude surprise. We had the test run (in which I bitch about Tokio Hotel) and we had the part when our interviewee fixed his hair and tory, our reporter, adjusted the mic. And we had the part when the two of them say good-bye and the guy puts his cap back on. The whole middle part – aka: the interview itself, the only part we really wanted to record – was missing. Irony of fate, I guess.

The day after tomorrow will be my anniversary, by the way. Exactly a year ago was the day I came to late (thanks to the train) and clueless stumbling into the NewsWire newsroom. Back then, my vocabulary was so limited that I didn’t even realise that a “polytechnic” is another form of tertiary education, and when my host mum called Jim John, I did not contradict, because I have not known better either.

Meantime, I no longer need to listen carefully and with 100% concentration to what John – ahh… Jim, I mean- is saying because I understand him anyway, I know what “polytechnic” means and know that when buying a coffee, you pay first BEFORE you sit down.

Ah well. Most of the time. The other day I had one of my famous “German moments” and forgot to pay, but usually I remember.

And once more we reached the point where I say: in five months, my time in New Zealand will be over. Haha. Sure. That’s what I said last time as well and we all know how that turned out…

And even though I feel a little bit homesick these days, I am sure that it was the right decision to come back here.

Affordable Web Hosting Company Review

Wow! Just saw GoDaddy deal for $15 per month for unlimited space, unlimited bandwidth, and unlimited domains. You could host hundreds of sites for $15 a month. I’ve seen some pretty good deals out there but this takes the cake. Oh wait, Host Gator is also one I’ve used and they have a similar plan for $8. I’ve been very happy with Host Gator, from reliability to support they’ve been great! There plan comes with your own toll free number which includes 100 free minutes! Both the GoDaddy and Host Gator plans comes with free SSL certs in case you need to have a certificate for ecommerce or other secure transactions. For a control panel I’d recommend cpanel which Host Gator provides. It’s much user friendly from what I’ve seen of the Go Daddy panel which I believe was built by GoDaddy. Both come loaded with plenty of software so you should be good to go. My favorite of course being WordPress, a great blogging platform! Both plans also come with a credit to Google Adwords in case you’d like to market your new site through pay per click advertising.  Host Gator seems to be a step ahead with this one as well by offering $50 while GoDaddy offers a $25 credit. GoDaddy makes up for this though with a $25 credit to facebook (sorry facebook! wordpress wouldn’t allow me for some reason to link to you). Host Gator offers a 45 day money back guarantee while GoDaddy does not, but both are cheap and you can go month to month. Drum roll please….. dndndndndnd And the winner for the affordable web hosting award goes to HOST GATOR!! Good job Host Gator!! They also provide green web hosting that are powered and cooled by wind power in the state of Texas!! They also have a fall special so signup before Nov 1 to receive 20% off your order. And I have no affiliation with them I swear! Just a happy web hoster!

I’m So Damn Sick Of … Week 12

I try to keep my “negative” thoughts limited to my semi-weekly blog posts tittled I’m So Damn Sick Of.  This week has been a challenging week for me, and I’m attempting to put a positive spin on the negatives, hopefully.  I never sit down and plan these posts, they literally flow out of my brain and fingers.

Costs that are skyrocketing for food and household supplies - Is it me, or have any of you noticed how much more certain items cost at your local stores?  For awhile, I was paying like $3.00 for a gallon of milk if I couldn’t get to Costco or we had a milk emergency.  Finally, price wars has put milk under $2 in my neighborhood.  That being said, other items that I buy have went up $1, $1.50, $2, even $3 or $4.  Within a month.  Now, I live in Michigan, where the economy sucks, so I don’t know if it is nationwide.  All I know is that I am so sick of having to cut back on food for my family.  I freaked out today when a child in my house took the last of the lunch snacks which are specifically for lunches only, and it just wasn’t because I don’t have time to go grocery shopping tomorrow.  It is because to replace the trail mix, it is going to cost me $13.99 instead of the $9.99 it used to be a year ago.

However, I have a few positive things to share.  One, Costco is now going to accept food stamps, and two, Kmart has a program where you can get a 20% off discount card on all the items their Kmart brand makes.  It it is called their Smart Assist Savings Program.  You sign up, print out your card which is good for six months, and bring your unemployment letter to show the cashier.

School budgets in Michigan being slashed – In my state, our Governor has decided to cut school funding K-12 by $127 per child.  Now, nobody likes that, but if people had been paying attention to the budge last July, they would have found that out much earlier when they could have seen plans for 2/3 of our state programs being cut completely.  Even our library department budget is being slashed and I wrote passionately about it in August.

I’m personally affected because my child no longer has weekend busing, so with all her events being on Saturdays, the coaches are expecting us parents to drive our kids and their teammates to and from events that may be up to four hours roundtrip.  Her sport lasts many hours, and with my husband and I going down to one car; our entire family has to either go to each game, or those who stay home can’t have plans to go anywhere for an entire day without securing a ride.

I’m actually more concerned about the liability of driving other kids on icy unsalted Michigan roads for four hours rather than being forced to hang out a competition for six hours.  That is why god made books.  So, getting to my positive point, if you want to help your kids, their schools, and in the long run, yourselves out, write, email and call your senators and you can begin to educate yourself here.  And, for more resources, visit the Michigan Legislature to see what bills are being passed, considered, or dying in session.  To find out who you need to voice your opinion to, go here to find your State Representative, and go here to find your State Senator.  Please take action if you want action taken for your children.

Electronic friendships replacing our personal relationships - Sure, we all read and love our blogs, Facebook, IM, texts, email, and whatever else that’s available out there, but I am sad for the old days.  Remember letters?  My goodness, when I was in college I was writing to over twenty people a week.  I love it when my mother-in-law brings out letters from when her husband was in the war, and she lets us read how beautiful his words were to her.  My husband has the same way with letters, and we somehow have both gotten away from letter writing, which totally sucks.

I even miss phone calls that lasted forever.  Sure, on rare occasions I have those, but now most of my phone calls last under five minutes.  Or it is all just texts.  I miss when my friends called me, or even picked up their phones for me when I called them and we could talk and make plans to do things, rather than just having a relationships via Facebook.  I just deleted my personal Facebook account because it took too much of my free time checking two accounts with living life and job searching and having visual problems.  I did a test and nearly didn’t text a soul for an entire week, and guess what?  Not one phone call was returned.  I think I sent out six texts, and one or two were even answered.  I thought technology was supposed to save us time and energy, but then why is it that I feel more pressured and time crunched and have to rush to do too many things now.  Why, when I am unemployed, do I spend more time online that I did when I worked eight hours in a cubicle and was online all day?  To make matters worse, one of our computers doesn’t have the strength for the internet, so it is rendered useless to the family, and our main computer just blew its monitor, so we are down to one computer for four people, and my laptop is four years old and basically sucks.  The other night my word spellcheck wasn’t even working.  Always fun when you are sending resumes out.

When my friend got mad at me for not commenting enough on her children’s new pictures on Facebook, it really got me thinking.  Is this what society has come to?  In the old days we would have saved time to meet, have lunch, and look at the pictures.  Now, we get mad at each other when someone who hit likes should have left multiple comments.  I know that she just was thrilled to have great pictures of her kids, and maybe didn’t realize that I am not able to be on Facebook all the time because I have to write letters to doctor’s offices for billing mistakes, or write emails trying to get clinical trials on top of my usual work load.  Computer use was limited all weekend long.  I have ADHD and it is killing me to keep up with everything.  All week I have been staying up until 6 am so that I can have time to search for jobs for five hours a day, plus blog, and read and respond to the 300 emails I receive daily on top of reviewing and responding to every single Facebook message, photo, comment, etc.  I am sorry if my photo comments were lacking on the beautiful pictures of your children, but perhaps you can realize that I am simply an old-fashioned girl who just needs a phone call from time to time.

Interview w/ Eric Griffith, Managing Editor, PC Magazine

Eric Griffith is a Managing Editor at PC Magazine. In the interview below, he discusses converting the publication from print to 100% digital, the difference between a good “PR pitch” and a bad pitch, how smart phones are changing the world, and PC Magazine’s product review process.

Q: When we first met in 2004, you were the Managing Editor of Wi-Fi Planet, in 2007 you switched to PC Magazine. What appealed to you about PC Mag?

Eric Griffith: They gave me an opportunity to branch out, to write about anything and everything in the world of tech. And it was a brand that I wanted to work for even when I started, even if it is significantly changed from what it was a decade and a half ago.

This year, PC Magazine discontinued its print edition becoming a 100% digital publication. How has the transition been?

So far, pretty smooth– the company was making more money from the Web site than print magazine anyway, so it was a no-brainer (the digital edition is still there for those who like a magazine-esque format). The lost of paper might bother old-school readers, but they’re not exactly the target demo for tech advertisers anymore; if they were, Computer Shopper would still be the size of a Manhattan phone book, too.

In the next decade, will more efficient laptops and smart phones make personal desktop computers obsolete?

I think they might already have made desktops obsolete for all but the most powerful computing tasks. I’ve made it through entire weeks on the road with nothing but my iPhone and stayed fully in touch with the office and personal life as needed. Maybe a little too in touch in this age of Facebook and Twitter.

iPhone 4g Mock-up

Speaking of social networks, do you think a location-based social network will ever make it? The sort of thing Meetro wanted to be.

Seems almost inevitable as more people move to tweeting and updating status by phone.

On the editorial side (editors, columnists, etc.), approximately how many people are behind PC Magazine?

About 40 editorial.

You probably get “pitched” by PR folks regularly. What separates a “good pitch” from a “bad pitch” in your mind?

A good pitch is some from someone who’s actually read the publication and has a clue about what we cover. Wild pitches BCCed to the entire staff (or the entire industry) are just annoying.

An important part of PC Magazine is product reviews. According to your website, “PCMag provides comprehensive hands-on, laboratory-based testing of PC and Internet hardware and software.” Can you tell me a little bit more about the review process?

Reviews are now all-import to us; as we streamline the site, they are becoming the focus. Process is pretty simple: we request products if we have plans for a round-up review, or we get products in as stand-alone when they’re new. We put them through their paces, which is different for all the types of products. We write.

"Reviews are now all-import to us..." - Eric Griffith

According to an article in PC Mag, iPhone’s market share doubled from 5.3% in Q1 2008 to 10.8% in Q1 2009. Will iPhone’s success help Apple increase its share of the notebook and desktop market?

I don’t think it has and don’t think it will. Apple (smartly) made iPods work as well with windows as they did Macs, and had to do same for iPhone. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt Mac sales, but I doubt it’s a big deal overall.

Which small to medium business has been the most disruptive this year?

Probably Twitter. They’re still small.

Last question, if you had the attention of every techie in the world, but only 140 characters, what would you say?

Louis CK is right, Everything’s Amazing, Nobody’s Happy, but that’s what happens when the future becomes the present. http://is.gd/4w4CX

Past in the Time of Facebook

Has it ever happened to you that as you tranquilly get on Facebook, maybe with your morning tea, not yet properly awake, and suddenly see, on the top corner of the page where Facebook takes it upon itself to suggest new friends, the name and picture of an ex-boyfriend, a friend with whom you fell out long ago even if you don’t remember why, a cousin you have not seen since you were a child? The ex laughs for the camera, the former friend has gotten a bit older, perhaps has changed haircut, and the cousin might as well be a stranger except that in the bottom of your heart you know that you unescapably resemble each other.

Here they are, faces of the past, coming to haunt us.

Our heart hammers unpleasantly. We cannot take our eyes off of the picture and the name that once meant so much to us and now only petrifies us. The look in the eyes of that ex-boyfriend or friend that we knew so well and yet have wished to forget, perhaps even at a certain point in our lives struggled, suffered to forget, suddenly there, on the top corner of the page, riveted on us.  Then there is that perfectly amiable statement telling us to “add as friend” someone we never wanted to be left in the quandary of befriending or not to begin with. Hence, here we are face to face with our past in the discreetly demanding world of Facebook and we do not know what to do with it.

Next  memories, some beautiful, mostly painful (otherwise we would still be with that boyfriend or friend) begin popping up in our head like mushrooms. But I did not want to wake up this morning and start thinking about my past! We would like to shout. But to no avail. The past has been forced upon us, its claws gripping our shoulders, making us turn to the screen no matter how much we try to squirm out of its grasp.

And the question is still pending, hanging in the air like winter fog: do we want to add this person, this phantom of the past, as our friend? Or even worse, do we want to accept the call for friendship, the “unclenched fist” that this person, who has obviously seen our name and picture on the top corner of his/her page earlier than us, is offering us? Do we want to take a step to rekindle contact, to leave our past and all the entailed grudge, anger, remorse, regret, hostility, and the unresolved behind us, and say yes, let’s be friends? Because the matter could easily be settled with a click. One can even take her time, reflect on her decision, pedantically weigh all the details, and then make the click. There is no awkwardness, no running into each other on a rainy night when one least expected it and thus had her guards down, no should we hug or merely shake hands, no “so what have you been up to” when in reality we only want to leave everything and run!

Instead, on the neutral Facebook ground with photos and notes and news feeds, whose main purpose is to prevent concentration and over-involvement with anyone and anything, one can just make that magical click, pretending to herself that it was just another click in the series of unending clicks of the day. Another click to let someone into our life, another click to connect, another click to expand our social network. And if it’s a shadow of the past, a thorn in the heart, so what? We’re here to connect. We’re here to go beyond emotions and make friends.

And my thoughts go to Tolstoy and that masterpiece of literature and soap-opera Anna Karenina and the scene when Kitty runs into the former love of her life Vronsky, who broke her heart by becoming Anna Karenina’s lover. Kitty first blushes, does not what to do or to say. But she immediately finds her bearings, keeps her head up, does not stammer but speaks in a calm clear voice, and leaves Vronsky as composed and dignified as we could like her to be and we would like ourselves to be when in the same circumstances. We feel so proud of Kitty in this scene! We would like to embrace her and say, Good job Kitty! You came out of it triumphant!

But in the time of Facebook, we don’t have to go through what Kitty goes through. We can just sit behind our computer, our faces permanently concealed behind our profile pictures and status, without worrying about our ex seeing if we blush, hearing if our voice at first trembles, seeing the tension in our eyes, and of course without our being able to see if he blushes or trembles or if the pupils of his eyes flutter nervously (we are denied that pleasure), and decide if this is the “beginning of a new friendship.” We can just sit behind our computer and click.

Gucci lance son propre réseau

Source : www.guccieyeweb.com

As i watch you move across the moonlit room

There’s so much tenderness in your loving

Tomorrow i must leave, the dawn knows no reprieve……

(christian bautista: hands to heaven)

Perhatian:

aku: hmm…. new friend request lagi?

Pesanku dibalas esok harinya..

Angel:  tak separah itu sebenarnya, tapi sangat parah hahahaaa….. udah terlanjur nempel itu cap preman padamu.. *siap2 kabur ke hongkong*

Aku seolah tak percaya membaca balasan dari si angelina jolie.. (kami jadinya berbalas message..)

Aku: ampun deh… kejaaaammmm…. masak siiiihhh????

Aku: heh???? Puncak rekorku? Emang yang lain masih ada? Gawaaaatt….. aku udah gak inget lagi….

Angel: ahahahhaaa………. aah sudahlah mar….  ga usah diinget inget lagi lahhh….

Aku: hmmmm… iya juga sihh….. tapi aku udah bertobat koq bu…….  (akhirnya mengaku juga, kalo dulu memang preman??? hihihihiiii)

Angel: ahh aku gak percaya….

Aku: ………………………………………

Dua hari setelah acara berbalas message itu, aku iseng mengganti foto profilku di fesbuk…..

Tak disangka tak diduga, si angelina jolie mengomentari:

5.       gak percaya? Lihat aja fotonya disini sambil bergaya piiiisss

Topshop, Mango & Zara's Campaign- Win Rm2500 fashion vouchers!

I have no idea if these 3 brands are working together, but this is what I spotted on my Facebook page. Of course, who wouldn’t want some extra clothes?

And once you go to their website, you’re landed with a “Spot-5 Differences-To-Win-Voucher” Game. I played the it, thought I finished kinda quick, then I was told to key-in my mobile number. However, no news about my chances of winning the voucher. (Sobs..) But the game did somewhat reminded me of my childhood days where I used to do this spotting the difference stuff very eagerly.

Pre-vision, vision, & re-vision

Every writing process begins with a vision. Even writing a paper by “shooting from the hip”  involves some kind of vision or goal. Whether you are trying to write an “A” paper, or you are trying to do the least amount of work you possibly can to pass the class, you have a vision for what you hope to produce in the end. So, this is where you start: vision. If you are one of those people who plans papers (this is a good skill to pick-up if you don’t do this already) with idea clouds, or outlines, or pages of random notes (this is me, all the way), if you are one of these people-you have and use a part of the writing process called prevision. So prevision comes before you write the paper, vision is what you have while you write the paper, so that leaves revision as what you do after the paper, right? Not really. How many times have you written a tweet or a blog or a wallpost and kept what you originally wrote? Don’t lie. It happens less than you might realize. Most of us revise our writing while we are writing. That means that revision is an ongoing process. Your teacher might tell you differently, but that is because not everyone agrees on a common definition of revision.

P.S. if this sounds different from what your teacher tells you revision means, argue at your own risk. Teachers rarely enjoy being told that what they think is wrong.

How to catch your partner cheating..?

For all those people who want to find out if your partner is cheating or the password to your partner’s facebook/myspace/e-mail/msn and other. Or if you are a parent worrying about what your kid might be doing at the computer behind closed doors.

Business going bad? Time to check up on your employees surfing habits. But how to do this, without getting caught trying to get some information?

Keep reading, I have the solution for all of you people.
I chose to introduce you to a keylogging/surveillance program after finally finding the tool that will give myself some answers to questions regarding my own relationship. I have searched for quite a long time and thought that there just aren’t any effective programs out there yet. But I found out that there is, it’s called All In One Keylogger, I gave it a try and I was honestly said frightened about the information it is able to collect, it will give you the answers to all your questions and suspiciousness.

With this program everything is possible, from getting a password to any community site, e-mail or forums and seeing all chat logs or messages – to recording microphone sounds (cybersex or the chat with another person and even webcam activity! (Both the own persons and a possible strangers webcam if he/she is watching naked teenagers behind your back). And best of all: you will have PROOF of what you have seen, which you obviously wont if you just suspect something without this program.

The program fits for:

a) People in a relationship
b) Business administration, finding out what your employees do when they “work”
c) Parents who want to keep track of their kids.

From their homepage you can read about the futures of All In One Keylogger, as I find it a bit pointless to copy paste whole production info page. Don’t be scared off by the word keylogger, YOU are the master of the program, only you will ever have control of the logs, pictures and audio that it monitors. Below is a lot of information about the features and what the program does, I recommend to read it in order to get a idea about the program.

Product Website:
http://www.plimus.com/jsp/redirect.jsp?contractId=1682768&referrer=Niar

I chose to speak more about my personal experiences of the program instead of talking about all the futures, those can all be found by following the link above to the product site.

What does All In One Keylogger do?

All In One Keylogger logs all keystrokes and passwords that have been typed into crypted files on your computer, it tracks all windows and applications that have been launched, clipboard, chat conversations (sent and received), all Web sites that have been visited, e-mails sent and received.

You can set it to take screen snapshots every few seconds or on each mouse click, just like a surveillance camera. It can also record Microphone sounds and restrict the access to specified Web sites and applications if wanted. It can even be set up to send these logs to your e-mail or FTP for tracking when you are away!

Personally I hate it the times I get the feeling in my stomach that something might be going on when I’m away from my partner, this is the solution to get rid of the paranoia, or to get proof for your suspicions. It snaps up all usernames and passwords into the very easily readable log viewer supported in the All In One Keylogger program. And maybe even more importantly you can set it up to take screen snapshots every few seconds and view the pictures later. I chose to divide the potential usage areas into different categories, you might wonder what the All In One Keylogger could be good for, I’ll tell you.

Relationship:
In the survey that took place in United States in the year of 2005 which includes married couples only, 56% of the participants of the survey said that during their marriage they had at least one sexual encounter with a person that is not their spouse. Are you living in a relationship and suspect that your partner is cheating on you, or doing other stuff he/she shouldn’t be doing on your/her computer (flirting harshly on community sites, MSN messenger contacts, webcam usage, microphone usage or visiting sites that are uncomfortable in a relationship.. the list goes on.

This is where All In One Keylogger can be there to save you from wasting time on your relationship, you wonder what your partner does when he/she is on the computer and you are away or working night shift. Well there is no reason to keep wondering and being paranoid about what she might be doing, you can find it out directly by downloading the trial version straight away (it is amazingly easy to set up, and the best part is that it is totally undetectable/invisible in windows, so no one can find out it’s installed and running.. read more on product site for more detailed info).

It basically records all keystrokes, and shows in which program the text has been typed in, stores visited sites and you can set it up to take a picture of the screen for example every 10 seconds!

Employers:
In the survey that took place in Britain in the year 2006, 87% of the employees participating in the survey said that they surf on the internet during their work at least once a week. 73% of them said that they surf at least once a day. 23% of them said that they dedicate more time to surfing on the internet than to their work! In the additional survey that took place in the same year answered 36% of the employers, participants of the survey mentioned that they are afraid that secrets of the company will be sent to their competitors from the company computers by their employees. 4% announced that they fell victim to the theft of company secrets by their workers from the company computers.

Are you running a small sized company, and wonder why you aren’t getting as much work done as you should be getting. Well the solution is here, with All In One Keylogger you can make sure who are actually working and who are not. The result can be scary, you might find out that the employee is actually playing online poker half day or such, no wonder that the results aren’t so promising. There are a lot of people who don’t care as long as their getting paid, so they will just entertain themselves in some way instead of actually working.

Parents:
Today, almost every child has access to internet. This comes thanks to the advance in technology, but has also risks involved. Did you know that: The average age when the children encounter pornography in the internet is 11? The age of the largest pornography consumer group in the internet is between 12 to 17? 85% of children between the ages 6-16 encountered pornographic content intentionally or unintentionally (most of them while preparing their homework). 25% of children between ages 9-17 will freely disclose their home address in the internet? 60% of children who committed suicide, declared their intentions online directly or indirectly? One in five children who use the computer chat rooms has been approached over the internet by pedophiles? Only 25% of youth who received sexual solicitation told a parent.

The children today are very sophisticated and most of us parents don’t have the knowledge to know what they are doing behind their closed doors in front of the computer. Are they browsing to inappropriate websites, are they downloading illegal content using P2P programs that will in the future result in lawsuits of thousands of dollars? What personal information they disclose about themselves, are they talking to adults, or maybe they meet them?

All In One Keylogger has many features:

No activity on your computer will be able to evade this high quality Keylogger. Does your kid make secret chat conversations with adult strangers? Maybe even with a pedophile that searches for his next victim? Does he surf to pornographic sites? Maybe he even exposes his personal details where he is not supposed to? Does he use P2P programs, sharing copyrighted materials which could constitute a pretext to a lawsuit of tens thousands of dollars? Have you ever wondered why does your husband “work” on his computer so late at the night? Does he have a secret online lover?Have you ever wondered who is your wife’s “partner” she talks with all the time? Do your employees surf on the internet instead of doing their work which you pay them for? Do they sell company secretes to your competitors? A high quality Keylogger should give you the answers to all these questions. No activity will be able to evade from it. No undesirable activity will be able to evade from you! As said, a high quality Keylogger is an “All In One Keylogger”, so just press this link to download “All In One Keylogger”:

I tried to bring up the most important things in this article, but there sure is more to read if you still aren’t sure, simply visit the links provided and read more about people who have bought the product or view the awards that the product has received. Everyone has different use or needs of the program, and it sure was a relief to my head after finally getting answer to my questions using this brilliant program.

web junkies....

The Daily Gamecock – Facebook Addiction Serious Problem  – facebook and the internet in general can very easily monopolize one’s attention as well as be very time consuming. I know that I sometimes spend way too much surfing the web and bookmarking articles. I bookmark way more items than I could possibly read. I’m not sure what it is but there is something very engaging about being online….

Saturday Night Mind Dump...

  • Tonight was interesting
  • I’m not really sure how to describe it
  • At times it was hard to preach through it, but it is something that people need to hear from a Biblical perspective
  • It was one of those nights that was a no holds barred talk about what I believe every married couple wonders, struggles with and the only place they get answers is in magazines when the Bible is chalk full of answers to these questions
  • Got to do Q & A tonight
  • Some very honest and eye opening questions
  • You will have to listen to the podcast
  • We almost ran out of emotional needs questionnaires
  • If you wanted one and didn’t get one, you can get it here
  • I would highly recommend you take this with your spouse and talk through it
  • I am blown away by how few churches talk about sex, intimacy, some of the problems couples run into
  • People want to know what the Bible has to say about this
  • Words you heard in a row tonight that you won’t hear many places, “Climax, variety and position”
  • Awesome
  • Tonight was the first night ever geared towards married couples
  • Not something we do a lot, but needed to happen tonight
  • The band nailed the song “Lucky” by Jason Mraz
  • Awesome to have Jennifer up there singing with Paul
  • If tonight struck a chord with you, here are some resources to check out
  • In case you missed Katie’s posts on understanding your husband’s sexual addiction, check them out here
  • Just finished up a series of blog posts to go along with tonight’s talk, so be on the lookout for that this week
  • Tomorrow, we are doing our mission project as a small group, really pumped about this
  • In case you don’t know this, all of our small groups at Revolution do one mission project each semester (which is 12 weeks) as a way to share the love of Jesus with our city
  • I am loving our small group this semester, amazing how God brings people together in community
  • Hallowiin is only 2 weeks away!
  • Jennifer and her team has done an incredible job in putting together this huge event
  • Have you become a fan yet on our facebook page?
  • I am loving my coaching network, getting so much out of it
  • This past week’s was incredibly eye opening as to how we can make things run more smoothly at Revolution and how to challenge people in certain areas
  • More on that later
  • Here are some pictures of Gavin’s halloween costume that Katie made if you are curious
  • Next week we are going to get into what a man is and what a woman is, what God calls us to be and how that plays out everyday
  • It is going to be a great way to end the series
  • If you have started coming to Revolution recently, after the service next week we are going to have a short time to answer any questions you have about Revolution and how to get better connected
  • I’m spent, so now I’m going to bed

Social media and The VIRAL Hall of Fame

Am I am hearing more ‘viral’ banter these days?..I mean marketers talking about campaigns and their so called ‘viral’ factor? Over the last month, I’ve heard the word ‘viral’ used more than I can remember it ever being used before….surely I’m not the only one?

I feel a little strained when I use the word ‘viral’ now.. I’m starting to feel that if I want to use the term ‘viral’, then I should acknowledge why I am doing so in order to remain credible? Is viral an overused euphemism?

Social media has caused a definite stir of excitement across our Australian marketing community of late – the use of ‘viral’ seems to have skyrocketed, inline with our YOY Facebook usage statistics! Are we wearing ‘viral’ out, from overuse and potentially misuse? Do those of us who are belting out the term actually have a predetermined measurement index for a campaigns’ viral factor?
Is it that some of us are confusing the geometric mesh factor of Facebook, with a campaign’s potential to go ‘viral’ through the Facebook portal, maybe? Or is it that some of us think that it’s appropriate to use ‘viral’ with social media-based dialogue? I can see understand…if this is the case? Then I think: You Tube – hey, definitely a very exciting tool and strong-hold for ‘viral’ potential, but it’s not been the content of conversation, so I remove it from the equation that is that I think that ‘viral’ is being used too often.

Social media offers campaigns a very powerful carriage-way for distribution, and potential to drive campaigns further – is social media our highway to the ‘viral hall of fame’? Is that what this new found use of ‘viral’ is all about? Maybe.

Please don’t get me wrong – I’m an absolute advocate for all things ‘viral’ and have great respect and praise for marketers and brands, that have obtained a place in the ‘viral hall of fame’. This after all brings such a great sense of success, and achievement (including plenty of back-pat tokens for all).

The Big ‘V’, or ‘V’ effect is a sure goal for each of our campaigns and bespoke applications – I’ve even used the term ‘viral’ a couple of times recently myself! Post each time that I did however– I found myself questioning myself for doing so – was I using it in the right context, was I setting realistic expectations for my client, or was I simply so excited about the campaign’s potential to go there, that I had to say it?… I mean, as a marketer, I appreciate knowing that campaigns have the potential of going ‘viral’ and I’m in to that, but the fact remains that ‘viral’ is a term, that is being used far too much by marketers right now. Due to this, I’ve made a call to be ‘viral, as a marketing term to clients selective’ moving forward – I just decided one day, that I’d use the term less and be more realistic about all things ‘viral’ – I hope that others will follow. The fact that I am in the social media scene, I think, makes this even more important.

There is no perfect science associated with taking a campaign to a ‘viral’ state – it comes down to advocacy units, content relevance, carriage-way, and a consumer’s desire to share – and sure we can hope that a campaign goes ‘viral’ through social media, but the fact remains that if a campaign lacks any of these 4 components, then we can’t expect those pleasure tokens to come rolling our way.

As marketers, I think that it’s important that we remain aware of the importance that realism brings – I think that if we are setting realistic expectations about a campaign’s potential to go ‘viral’ with our clients, then l think that we are on the right track. Honesty, transparence, and a top shelf strategy will do no harm, whilst a well aligned, well targeted social network, and social media tool kit may certainly help to increase the ‘revs to viral’, via relative multiple touch points, and associated geometric mesh factor.

Cheers

Clay Shirky: How social media can make history

While news from Iran streams to the world, Clay Shirky shows how Facebook, Twitter and TXTs help citizens in repressive regimes to report on real news, bypassing censors (however briefly). The end of top-down control of news is changing the nature of politics.

Looking for a job in sustainability? Look beyond the job boards: Part 2

The internet has certainly made the world smaller. I am sure that most of you are well aware of these social networking sites, but you might not have considered using them as part of your job search. If you are a job seeker in sustainability, at least one of these should be part of your arsenal:

  • LinkedIn. The more business-oriented of all of the popular social networking tools, LinkedIn is like an online Rolodex but better because it allows you to connect with people through your own connections. Your profile page can serve as an online resume, so make sure it is up-to-date and professional. This is not the web site to announce that you are headed to the car wash or to let everyone know where you went for happy hour last night!
  • Facebook. If you are going to use Facebook, you need to decide if it will be for pleasure or business. It cannot be both. Indiscriminate postings have trashed many people’s job prospects and, in some cases, cost people jobs they already had. Job seekers with Facebook accounts that have been used for personal pleasure would be wise to regularly visit their Facebook pages and remove any potentially damaging photos or posts. If someone else has posted a photo of a you on a drunken escapade in college, remove your tag. Yes, potential employers look at these things and yes, they might make a judgment about you as a job candidate based on what they see.
  • Twitter. Again, as with Facebook, if you are going to use Twitter as a job seeking professional, keep your “tweets” professional. Twitter is full of people and organizations with an interest or focus on sustainability, so use Twitter to develop relationships and you might find yourself connecting with the right person who can lead you to the right job!

MySpace losing the race

Space Race

New figures released by Nielsen this week show that Australians are spending twice as much time on social networking sites than they did a year ago.  The statistics show that we spent over 1.6 million hours on social media sites in June alone.  The two big winners in this cyber land-grab are Facebook and Twitter.

In stark contrast to this, MySpace has lost over 50% of its Australian market share in the year to October 10.  In a time of rapid market expansion, why is MySpace going backwards at such an alarming rate?  Hitwise reports that over the same period Facebook’s market share climbed by 101 percent and Twitter useage exploded by a whopping 1516 percent!

MySpace has focused primarily on developing its music and entertainment market in an attempt to differentiate itself……is that the fat lady I hear singing in the background?

How is Vpype different from YouTube?

One of the most often asked questions I’m asked about Vpype is How is Vpype different from YouTube? There are several differences: 1. Vpype offers a live broadcasting service. 2. Vpype is an application on Facebook. 3. Vpype lets anyone who wants to be a broadcaster do so and receive live interactive feedback from viewers. With Vpype, you really can have your own live video show. 4. Vpype broadcasts can be scheduled (just like TV shows). 5. Anyone can set up a live Vpype broadcast 24/7 from their desks (with their computer, video camera and microphone). What’s so terrific about Vpype? Vpype extends the social networking benefits of Facebook to the social video realm. Broadcasters can Tell Their Story to the World and one or two or 20 or even hundreds can watch a broadcast live and interact with the broadcaster and the audience. How is Vpype like YouTube? Vpype broadcasts can be archived. Vpype app on Facebook: http://apps.facebook.com/vpypebroadcaster

My Words, My Vision, My Father

I’ve been thinking lately about our vision.

As Amy and I attempt to take Courageous Loving to the next level, I feel like we are building a skyscraper brick by brick.  It’s a great project, an important one, and it’s becoming clearer everyday.

Teddy, my father

Our vision for this work directs us to take on this singular task: Helping people to answer the question, “Who are my relationships calling me to become?” By steering our clients towards this question, we’ve been a witness to amazing growth. I challenge them all to focus on this question with the toughest relationship in their lives.

When I think about answering that question myself, it helps me get grounded and brings me back to a place of peace.

Who is my toughest relationship? For me, that choice is easy.  My father, Teddy.

Teddy took his life 8 years ago.  He was paranoid schizophrenic, he suffered enormously from depression for most of my life, and his body was a pharmacy of drugs draining him as much as they sustained him.

I don’t feel the need to go into the details of my experience with my father, save that for another day.  The thing is this: I feel it within me that if I ask that question of myself now, thinking of my relationship with Teddy, I sense this place in me that pulls me forward, that asks me to be of service to the world through him.  It is as if I am inheriting a legacy of misery and suffering, and my role is to turn it around into tears and laughter.

Teddy, as he lives in me, wants his life to mean something. And I understand today that he is calling me to be a brilliant, to add value to people’s lives with my words.  To engage in a dialogue with his essence, as I hear it within me, and to share from this energy with stories that make people go “Wow.” This lets him smile, and that smile comes forward through me and my words.

Who is your toughest relationship?  Who are they calling you to become?  What is the vision that lets you connect to your own legacy?

Share your thoughts below.

-Michael

FACEBOOK, TILL DEATH DO US APART

“OMG I’m died” begitu bunyi statusnya.

Sekarang bicara soal facebook.

I think she said …Facebook, till death do us apart, and let the world know it.

I should be a full time digital person-- then they'd love me!

If there is anything that drives me insane, it’s people that are addicted to their phones. Now, before I rant any further I should state that I have my phone with me at almost all times. If I get a call or a text message ding and there’s nothing necessitating my full attention at that moment, I’ll pick it up and take a look. If I’m having an in depth conversation, am working, or driving in certain situations I’ll turn it silent or ignore it. I’ll leave it out if I’m expecting to hear from someone. That’s about it. Some might even consider that excessive but I feel it’s practical.

But in the age of iPhones and Blackberries and all that understandably addictive communication technology, I find more and more people are willing to sacrifice personal interaction for the sake of virtual interaction. Some try to be polite and excuse themselves to answer the phone or text message, which can be acceptable on occasion. If done to an excessive degree then it sends the clear message of, “Sorry, I have better people to attend to.”

Some blatantly check their phone mid conversation, only looking up from time to time to make what they must feel is the minimum level of eye contact needed in order to be declared a participant in the person-to-person interaction. Maybe they mumble out a distant, “Mmm hmmm,” or “Huh,” before going back to checking Facebook. Clearly this is a wonderful tactic for sending the message that you are not important to them. Juggling human beings and digital entities (texting, social networking, emails, RSS feeds, etc.) has become this disastrous example of multitasking gone awry.

I could go on for ages buuuut… I’m going to go read some blogs. While I text. Maybe update my Twitter. I’ll update about my blog. You know, get meta. ///

Actually, go here for a brief but thought provoking foray into the subject of a “lifestyle intervention”. I think we could all benefit from one.

This is a survey my friend Abby Powell posted in Facebook, I thought I would share it here.

You dont really need to copy and do this yourself but hey, feel free. I just cut and paste it from facebook.

Basically we were asked to pick 10 things that we are into that no one had influenced us into liking. These are things that I truly stumbled upon on my own without influence from friends and what not.

1) Britain
http://www.eye2eyesoft.co.uk/graphics/Britain_WithLetters.gif

almost everything about Britain and yet I have never been there. I swear I dont know what it is that has drawn me to there but I know its someplace Im supposed to be. I see my future being there. I love the history, I love the music, I love the food (no joke). My godfather is from Blackpool and despite my relationship with him, I really love everything about Britain. I cant wait to finally go. I watch tons of British tv, especially panel shows like Have I Got News for You, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, QI just to name a few. I even love British guys. Go figure. I just know Ive loved the idea since I was a little girl. When I was growing up, the threat I would constantly get from my mom and my uncle and godfather would be if I did a bad job in school I would be sent off to a boarding school in England. I would be scared cuz I didnt want to be so far away from my mom but deep down I kinda wished I could go cuz it sounded AWESOME!

2) Faeries
http://www.amybrownart.com/
Do I believe in faeries? Not really but I do wish they existed. Hell I wish I was one. I think they are kewl. I love fantasy art but faeries are cute, sexy, deviant, tricksters, enchanting, artistic, powerful, magical, everything I wish I was. Its weird though. The moment I tell people how much I love faeries (I have an Amy Brown inspired one tattooed on my back) they automatically assume I love rainbow colored cheesiness and… unicorns… bleh! Ive never been into art that depicted unicorns and pegasuses (or is it pegasaii??). It just looks weird to me. I like dragon art too but for me, elvish, faeries, pixies all have to go alongside dragons. Im not saying it makes sense Im just saying its how my head is wired dont judge me! LOL. If anyone ever wanted to give me art, faeries win, I have one gift from Paul, a faerie figurine that sits above my computer. I look at it daily and it makes me smile. It broke one day and I crazy glued it back together cuz I wont let it die. I even have written a song (fairly Enya-esque, Cocteau Twinish, Loreena McKennitish, Bel Cantoish) where I mention faeries. I also sing a song called Faerie Pet in my band The JSE. Yeah, I did faeries. a lot!

3) Labyrinth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufrCIwNk1zc

I’ve loved this movie since it first came out. I know every line, every song. If dared I can reenact the entire film. Jim Henson and George Lucas work together to make a great fantasy movie. Everyone talks shit about David Bowie’s acting in films hes taken part in. I normally agree to be honest. Hes not the best actor. That being said, the role of Gareth was clearly designed for him and because it was he does a great job with the role. The song Within You (in fact the entire sequence in the film) is one of my faves hence the reason I chose that particular link. I want to cover that song one day. Ugh cant wait!. Its also the first time I think I ever had a crush on a girl. Yeah, I think Jennifer Connelly was my first girl crush. She still is, omg I would looooveeeee to get with Jennifer Connelly she is soo effing beautiful.

4) History
I dont have a link for this, just in general I love history. I love learning about different cultures and different countries. I think the more knowledge you get on different parts of the world, the more of an understanding you get of cultures and why people do what they do. I also think with that knowledge and understanding you are more likely to garner respect for their traditions and cultures. Not to preach but I really think more people need to learn things like that. My love of history and global cultures is something I cherish because there are a lot of things in this life that I know I am not that smart about. Im not saying Im a bimbo or dumb but I have been known to be naive and history is really something I pride myself on knowing. Its the one thing I can actually say I love knowing about and love helping people with when they want to learn about it as well. I make an awesome tour guide when I can haha.

5)The Cloisters/Fort Tryon Park
http://www.metmuseum.org/Works_of_Art/the_cloisters

I love this place. When I was little my uncle and godfather brought me here to the medeival festival ( I was like 12) and I will get into the festival in a moment, but the place alone is mesmerizing. Its actually one of my favorite places to be in New York. Its in Washington Heights and you forget you are actually in the city. A friend of mine calls it Helms Deep (because like me he is a lord of the rings nerd) and well, it actually looks like it. Its the perfect place for a medieval festival. The Cloisters itself is a monastery that was originally built in Europe but when the order was moved to New York, they wanted their monastery to come with, so they numbered each stone and dismantled it. When they got here, they put the stones back together in numerical order. When I first went there, the numbers were still on the stones, but faded. Sadly they are now all gone but the European Medieval Art is prevalent. Its got gorgeous relics and a few chapels. When I really get married it would be really posh and expensive yet cool if I could get married there. Outside the Cloisters, the grounds of Fort Tryon park is amazing. You can see the Hudson River and you actually forget you are in an urban city. If you look for a place to relax and just be at one with yourself and your surroundings this is the place for it

6) Renaissance Fairs/Medieval Festivals
http://www.whidc.org/home.html
I love them. I know there is a nerd quality to it all however being a history buff, loving britain, loving the clothing, how can I not love them. There are jousts, people dressed as knights, kings, queens, maidens, faeries, monks, scribes, blacksmiths, wenches, pirates, and goth kids just blend the fuck in! LOL. Corsets galore and tits just ready to pop! I love corsets and everytime I go I wish I had a cool one. They also sell really cool costumes, trinkets, art, makeup, face painting, psychics. They also have entertainers, poets, mandolin players, singers singing songs from that era of time, dancers, magicians, jokers, gypsies. They put on great shows and its one of the few times I think any parent is capable of having their kids sit in a circle quietly while a man dressed as a monk tells stories to children. Like I know they have story time in nursery school but its not the same. I actually saw it yesterday and I stood mesmerized. It was actually beautiful to me. It was from another time. As for the food, its the only place a lady can be dainty yet push all that aside while shes gnawing on a huge turkey drumstick like a bear gnawing on its leg in a trap. They sell old fashion style food but of course with gyros, pizza, potato salad, pepsi and candy bars like snickers are sold as well. Its actually awesome when you buy candy and the guy at the booth dressed as one fo the three musketeers says “Here is thou snickers bar, m’lady” LOL Classic.

7) Cyndi Lauper
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cxXAwKWukU

Ive loved her since the 80s. She was my salvation. She was weird yet talented. A set of pipes that you wouldnt expect from such a tiny little woman. She waas wild and crazy yet you can tell that the persona wasnt something that she used in her personal life. Like she was a regular woman who just looked wild and was who she was. Basically she wasnt trashing hotel rooms, doing a bunch of drugs and getting into the papers about it. She loved her mom and made sure the world knew it. She had her mom in so many of her videos. She also became famous fairly late in her life although she didnt look it. While most entertainers in the 80s were in their early 20s she was already in her 30s but showed she could be just as innovated and new as the next person. Shes my inspiration. At 34, Im not worried about becoming known late. I know I can still do it. Cyndi is 50 something now and she can still be powerful when she performs. The True Colors tour is going strong and I will go to one next year I vow to afford it lol!

Real Estate/Interior Design
Ever since I was little, we struggled with money. We were on welfare once. A neighbor called child services on my mom because I was home alone when I was 6 however thankfully being a latch key during those days wasnt as illegal as it is now. Mom also worked for Child Services so that was a bonus. I also had the rest of the neighborhood looking after me cuz everyone (aside from that racist bitch) loved my mom. We always barely made it by. I learned to cook, clean, and balance a check book before I reached junior high. Due to all of that and my vivid imagination I have always been able to combine the two and imagine buying a home and decorating it. I would go to libraries and get decorating books and look through the Pennysave and format how much money i would need to buy the home, buy furniture, etc and figure out how much it would all be. To this day I go online look at real estate and then figure out how would I decorate it. I love doing it, it basically means when the time comes that I can afford my own home I will know how to budget my place and still make it look awesome.

9) Cooking
Well since I was home a lone a lot I had to cook for myself. Most kids at 6 werent allowed to use the stove cuz of the whole fire thing but I had to figure it out. Of course at first I was lousy at it and when my uncle realized I had to do these things on my own, he figured since he went to culinary school he might as well teach me the basics. Thankfully he did and i figured out how to make a decent sandwich, make eggs, cook a chicken in the oven, etc. He only taught me the basics though. As time went on I thought it was boring so I started experimenting and I learned how to make pretty decent food. I loved experimenting and then taste testing all my food. Of course, as you can see to this day, there was a downside to it all….. but whatever, I may be a big girl but at least I know what a peanut butter cheesecake tastes like mmmmm……

10. The 80s
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCRXtc6zEp0

Everything 80s. The music the movies, the tv, the people, the cartoons, the toys, the clothes, the video games. It was all so awesomely ridiculous. We didnt think so then, but when you look back now, its just soooo much fun to think about and be nostalgic about. I mean you the the 80s you think neon, fluorescent, synthesizers. It was a time where people just kept on going with ideas… and aquanet. The 80s impacted me in music and acting. MTV made it so that every type of music was visible. You could choose which you liked. I liked sooo many different types I was able to blend my own sound. I love the idea of having different influences in my music hence the reason when people ask me what type of music I sing I always have a hard time answering because its a mix of a lot of things lol. As for acting, all these different types of movies and tv shows would come out with ridiculous plot lines and they sounded feasible. I wanted to be princess leia, I wanted to be Sarah, I wanted to be Atreyu ( I also WANTED Atreyu… omg Noah Hathaway, he was 12 I was 8, yum) It made me realize that anything was possible. I love the 80s and I love the nostalgia.

What to name your Facebook Business Fan Page

by Mark Ijlal

Article source: http://bx.businessweek.com

Malik asked a question about naming Facebook Business Pages:

  1. Name it after your business. For a local business and especially a location based business like a restaurant / attorney / CPA / retail stores – this is more than adequate after all their name is what is known and how people find them. Yeah I know it is the old Yellow Pages approach but for millions of businesses who you and I both know will use a Facebook Business Fan Page as a business card to put their name, address, phone number, 4 pictures, products or service information, some half hearted coupons and update it once a month – this is more than enough. Maisano’s Italian Restaurant, Aaron’s Auto Repair Shop, Attorney Scott Yaldo and Great Lakes Real Estate Property Managers all will work for their respective businesses.
  2. Name it after your website. For Threadless, Zappos, Salesforce and millions of businesses that run entirely on the web and that is where their customers are found – the name of the LLC that owns the business is unimportant; there is no physical location where customers are walking in; the only name that is known to their customers and prospects is their website. So name it after your website that makes the sale.
  3. Name it after your brand. Starbucks. Nike. Detroit Pistons. A hit HBO show like True Blood. People know and love your brand. Why not erect a Fan page where they can all hang out and share their love of your brand with each other? Brands know it and they are busy doing it.
  4. For firms that sell the invisible: services, advice, consulting, coaching, PR, B2B with long sales cycles: Name it,  so it means SOMETHING to the people who matter the most: your past, present and future customers. And yes that means that you will be active in building this Fan Page as your hub for your business on Facebook.

Lia Land Ride #68: It's All About Control

Hi readers,

It’s me again.
Sorry it’s been a few days.
But, on the bright side, I do have a bit to talk about.
So here goes nothing.

First on the list: Pocky.
I. Finally. Found. Pocky.
I was ecstatic, because I’ve been looking everywhere for it,
And I finally found it on Wednesday.
It was amazing.
Even Sara liked it.

Second thing,
October 1st was Sara’s birthday (Happy birthday my amazing friend!)
So, yesterday, me, her, Shannon, Neil, Kayla, and Catherine,
All went downtown to celebrate her birthday.
We left at around 6, to go to a restaurant called…well, wouldn’t you like to know.
I can’t tell you the restaurant name,
Because then it’s obvious where I live.

Anyways, we had an amazing time.
I also bought a Japanese-English dictionary when we went to a bookstore.
There were very funny moments,
But I don’t feel like getting into that.

Next item on the list.
MLIA.
Best. Site. Ever. Besides. Fanfiction.
I literally spent four hours reading all the things.
It’s like FML…but soooo much cooler.

The other day my class asked our latin teacher what makes him the teacher and us the students. He responded with “Well you see kids…my chair spins and your’s does not.” I have never had so much faith in our education system. MLIA

Today, I was pulled over for speeding. I tried flirting with the officer to get him to lower my ticket. If I was a girl, I think this would have worked much better. MLIA

Yesterday, I learned that my friend’s initials spell RAWR. Not only am I convinced that he’s secretly a dinosaur, but I have never been more jealous in my life. MLIA.

So, in conclusion,
MLIA, is the best site for this site of thing.
Better than FML,
And better than Texts From Last Night.
‘Nuff said.

Onto the next item.
Facebook Pirate Language.
I’ve never been more immersed in Facebook,
Than when I set my language to “Pirate”.
This was around the same time I was on MLIA,
So, that was my best night of forever.

This is the best new Paramore song.
I’m kind of obsessed with it.
A lot.

Oh,
Also,
If you care to know,
I wrote two new one-shots, and updated The Cobwebs Of His Imagination,
On my Fanfiction.
Link is here:

http://www.fanfiction.net/~breathlesstomb

And, lastly,
I recently wrote a weird, rant-thing.
Well…it’s not really a rant.
It’s kind of odd though.
I was cold and tired when I wrote this,
And kind of in a daze.
I’ve never been more confused by myself.
Anyways, here it is,
My intermost feelings (or at least, some) in words.

It’s All About Control

Life is complicated. It’s the truth—the only one we know for certain. And whether it be good or bad, nothing is easy. Nothing turns out as we expected, and not many people expect it to. We like to make drama. It’s our God complex; the one thing we love to have control over. We can twist and change certain situations. It amuses us; it depresses us; it brings us to the very highest peaks we can reach, then drops us down.

We all say we wish for simplicity, yet we strive to make our lives harder. Us—humans—… we’re such liars. We don’t have morals. We don’t have inhibitions. They are simply figments of our minds, the things we think we can control. It’s all about control, and it always has been. That’s all that matters to our puny, shrivelled, beating hearts. Morals do not exist.

And neither do we.

It would be all too simple to live an easy life. If we all tried. But, then again, when has easy ever been easy? Once again, it’s all about control. That tiny part of us that longs to play God. In every opportunity, we make a decision. In every decision—or nearly all—we practice our control. But does it matter? Do we simply have to be in control of everything we do?

Sometimes.

There is a fine line, between right and wrong. Sometimes things play with that line, spinning it to suit its desires. We all have our own warped versions of reality, just like we all have our own versions of ethics. What might be right for you, may not be right for some. Do we know of these principalities, or do we simply follow our hearts?

Our hearts do not possess thoughts. Our hearts are blind, as is love. As is life. The road we travel on is one we have never quite seen up close. There are no bumps in the road that we continuously trip over, except the ones that we accidently go over or the ones we purposely drive through. How do we know where we’ll end up, when we have no idea how we’re getting there to start with? Some questions cannot be answered with just one response.

We are all deep. In thoughts and our actions. We can be shallow though, and we can be vain. There is a small conscience in all of us, though not all of our consciences are the exact same. Whether we choose to listen to those consciences is our own decision. Control comes back. Time and time again, we try to change the situations, to suit our own pleasures.

Humans aren’t pretty. Humans can be scum. Humans aren’t all we think of ourselves to be. Not even the most beautiful and sweetest human is as pure as we’d all like to think. Do we show this in our words and actions, or do we simply keep it locked away, hidden from our sights? No two people are alike. We change. We take control. If we could stay the same, would we even choose to be?

Life isn’t safe. Life isn’t pretty. Sometimes, there are things we can’t control. And this kills us. Because, whether we choose to admit it or not, we all relish in control. We feel safer knowing we are in complete control of the situations. We have fears, because there are things we cannot control. We have fears, because there are certain things we don’t want to control, and sometimes that frightens us. Our fears may be petty, but they may also be grave.

Confrontation excites us as much as it bothers us. Irritation once again comes with a waver in control. Ripples in the currents we tried to keep safe. Tremors in the grounds we tried to keep stable. Cracks in the glass we tried to peer through. This is what we reject at first sight. It slowly sinks in though, no matter how hard we try to push it away. A shaking hand scribbling across a blank page.

Sometimes our control on things is overwhelming. It’s too much for one person to cope with. We are not Atlas. We cannot carry the world on our shoulders. We do not possess the strength, nor the will. As much as some of us would like to take on the world, there is a breaking point for all of us. A point where it becomes much too unbearable to handle. We take out our frustrations on others, trying to take even more control…or lose it. It’s all about domination.

Love is tricky. Love is a fickle thing. We cannot please everyone, no matter if we want to or not. But…in such days and age, love is all but a myth. There are reasons the elders doubt the children of the world. There is no maturity in irrationality, though sometimes absurdity is all we have. Once again, things become complicated. We take control. We lose control. We try to escape.

There is no escape.

Options matter not. Death is not an option. Stress cannot rejuvenate our minds, nor our hearts. Then why do we revel in it? Why do we find absolute delight in causing others to feel the burn that we ourselves have felt countless times? Stress is something that can or cannot be controlled. Will we ever know for sure though? Will we ever fully comprehend the meaning of the word enough?

No.

Excuses are unacceptable. There is no excuse for anything. They are our alibis, and whether or not they exist is another matter altogether. We constantly tempt fate. We switch moods as easily as switching songs. Moods are the soundtracks of our lives. We are not one person, but hundreds, screeching and pulling, trying to become one. It can be violent. It can be messy. It never prevails.

Are we ever truly happy? Satisfied with the way things are? Are we, or are we simply trying to convince ourselves? We constantly switch our paths, without us ever any the wiser. There is no originality, as we were never the same to begin with. We cannot strive for something we already have. Do we feel the need to continue on as if nothing has happened, or can things be changed once again?

Control comes back.

The End

And, I guess that’s it for today.
I’ll update soon.
Bye guys!
