Today started out pretty good. I fell asleep in the couch last night listening to some story Megan was telling me (sorry for a pulling a mom on you Meg and falling asleep while you were talking). Thankfully, I fell asleep on the comfy couch, not the broken with bars that dig into your body. I woke up a few times throughout the night, but I was too tired to make that trek upstairs. Anyway, my morning on the couch started out nice. I woke up just enough to see my dad come in very early and put a couple blankets on me, which was just sweet. It doesn’t matter how old I get – my dad still takes care of me. I love my dad. Because I was not in bed, I did end up getting up earlier than normal for me, which was good because I was able to get to work earlier. Perfect, because I needed to leave earlier
.
When I got to work, I was surprised with treats in my top desk drawer from my dear Gale. Gale is like half my work mom and half my homie. She is wonderful, and I am able to confide in her and depend on her for anything. She always makes me feel like a superstar and has been there for me anytime I’ve come to work after a rough night or when I’ve just been having a hard time with things. She is understanding, thoughtful, and has the kindest heart. She is just a beautiful person, and I am so grateful to know her. I’m not even bothered that she’s from Canada
. The other day I said I was craving old school candy and wanted Charlston Chew, so she brought me a Charlston Chew and Pez (!) and hid them in my desk. Mid-morning was so much better today! Thank you my love!

As I said, I left work early to go get my hair done. Lisa, my stylist, rocked my color today. The perfect blonde. I also got to sit there for a couple hours and hear her crazy stories. Girl! Always a good time with her.

Now, I’m just having a chill night and home, and I couldn’t be happier (well, I’m sure I could be happier, but this is cool). I should be doing homework, but I’m taking the night off. I got to chat with my mom, who I haven’t even seen since Sunday. Megan and I got to engage in one of our favorite activities – making fun of people on Facebook (they make it so effing easy). Megan has all these hilarious and quite appropriate sounds clips on her phone that she pulls out as we’re ragging on people. Ah, what a joy.

So, I’m breaking from life by just hanging on the couch. I just enjoyed a classic episode of South Park (the one with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg), and now I’m watching Ghost Adventures.

Complete vegging. I’ve been out every night this week – this is much preferred tonight
