The Director sent The Producer
I had an epiphany twice the other day…
SCRIPTURE- Let’s look at that word, taking into account the descriptive perspective. Doesn’t it seem that every person in life goes through stages? Stages of adolescence and then stages adulthood? Stages of anger and stages of happiness? This would suggest that we are forever changing, being moved from Glory to Glory.
At the same time, it seems Life is a stage too, in the noun perspective. Everywhere we travel is a platform to perform for who we’re entertaining at the moment, working behind a desk or behind a customer service telephone number. Life has Acts. Life has situations where people ‘Enter Stage Right’ and others who ‘Exit Stage Left.’ Everything happens for a reason because it’s all a part of the ‘Plot.’
Destiny is God having Life already planned. There is a Script to follow and we must seek Him for acquisition. It is already written and we play out the scenes in His will. So enough with Scripts, examine the other part of that word which is True. U and R are transposed though. Why is that? If you put U first, that dismantles what is True: that we are called to Love our brothers as we Love ourselves. The more selfish we are, the more we are veering from our script. The word asks “How can you say that you love Me, whom you have never seen before, but hate your brother whom you see everyday?” We quarrel among those individuals we cannot fully appreciate, however this is not how the Producer explains how it should be. The Director gave us His son, so that we will come to understand our Scripts.
Isn’t it astounding that history repeats itself (Ecclesiastes 1.9)? Well, God doesn’t change so this apparently was inevitable. Take 1 Kings 7 for example. These two men were debating if they should remain where they were, go back or go forward. When was the last time indecisiveness controlled your mobility? This would suggest that the saying is True: Same script different scene, same stuff different day, or same soup just reheated.
Another cliche found on ‘Set’: “Let’s keep our fingers crossed” infers wishes for good luck, but what if we changed the words up to be more True? Apply this to the ‘Play’ if it applies to your heart- How about instead we say: “Let’s keep the Cross with our fingers.” This is more applicable for Christians because we don’t believe in luck… it is already written! All my hope and all my expectations are in The Cross. Anything less would be uncivilized
